The game was created to sensitize students to the everyday needs of disabled people when designing universal public spaces. The player takes on the role of a person with a random disability such as using a wheelchair, missing a limb or hearing impairment. A scenario is generated for the disability, e.g. a walk in the park, shopping in a hypermarket or working in an office. When encountering an obstacle, the player must decide which of the facilities will solve the current problem. Each choice results in a graphic change of the environment in order to visualize the selected solution. The game ends after completing all levels.
The game client was created using JavaScript and the Phaser framework. The graphics were made using Canvas. The frontend is based on the Node.js environment. The API was written using Python, based on the Django framework and the SQLite database. CKEditor is responsible for the ability to add hints and messages at the beginning and end of the game.
